Do you wish for more light and more serenity in your life? I have always been good at that. Long before I knew I was a healer, I had noticed that people would seek out my company when they were stressed out. Why? My energy is peaceful, I don't talk much, and I listen well, so they feel calmer by the time they leave, and they know they have been heard.
My role in life is to help you to feel close to God, to help you feel His light, and His peace, and His love. I facilitate your healing by using Reiki,The Polarity Way, and other forms of energy work to channel Divine love to you. I hold the space for your healing and your transformation. I hold the space for you to become aware of the beauty of who you are — a child of God, perfect, powerful, and lovable just as you are.
I started out as a technical person. After graduating from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree, and from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Master of Science degree, I worked as a computer programmer, and then as a Web site designer and producer.
My interest in wholistic healing started about twelve years ago, when my beloved cat got seriously sick and modern medicine could not help him. I studied herbs, homeopathy, and crystals. I "discovered" Reiki in 2001, and was attuned to the first level of Reiki in March 2002. This event led to the beginning of my spiritual awakening, and marked the beginning of my personal healing journey.
Reiki also unleashed my creativity, and I started creating suncatchers and jewelry out of beads and healing stones.
In November 2004, after getting many hints from the universe, I realized that I am meant to be a healer in this life.
I am a Reiki Master/Teacher in the Usui and Raku Kei systems of Reiki. In addition to Reiki, I blend into my work certain Polarity techniques, my own private Reiki symbols, and an ancient healing symbol which assists you in breaking generational patterns that keep you from the truth of who you are.
My gratitude goes to my healers and spiritual teachers: Carrie Bodane, Donna Spring Gulick, Mary Mooney, Vickie Penninger, Dr. Ellen Tinsley, Dr. Julianne Trell, and Elizabeth Tuttle. Not only did they teach me about healing per se, but they also taught me how to live life more fully and to open my heart. Without their wisdom, their help, their support and their love, my life would have been very different.
The following incident is one of the hints which led me to realize that I am a healer.
One day, while driving, I suddenly heard my guides say "The city on the hill." As I looked directly in front of me, I could see the sky, and one cloud, backlit in gold, did look like a city on a mountain top.
I did not immediately understand the significance of that piece of guidance, but later found this excerpt from the Sermon on the Mount:
"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
It is now time for me to show my light, and to let it shine onto the lives of those who wish to accept it.
